Our Team

Ope Bukola is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Zora. Her twin passions are education technology and women’s media. She is lucky to have an outlet for the latter with Zora magazine and hopes to someday create products that will help democratize learning. Ope expects to have many careers and hopes to be, among other things, an entrepreneur, journalist, screenwriter, college professor, and coffee shop owner. She enjoys reading fiction, reading magazines, watching documentaries, and sharing interesting stories on twitter. Ope is a graduate of New York University and lives in New York City.

Jessica Lynne is a learner, writer, traveler, and self-described over indulger in all things Hip-Hop. She is a recent graduate of New York University with a degree in Africana Studies. She is a creative writing kid dedicated to fostering the power of literacy and language through fiction and creative journalism. On her off days, you can usually find her sippin’ on the Southern classic: lemonade and sweet tea.

Opeola Bukola thought writing a bio would be easier than this. Here she goes! Though new to the Zora Magazine editorial team, Opeola is a long time behind-the-scenes contributor and huge fan. A student at the University of Florida since fall 2010, she is new to independence, adulthood, and higher education, but learning to both cope with and love all three. When she’s not swimming in the academic and social rip tide of college life, she’s stocking up on information around which to flex her wit. She looks forward to one day developing concrete professional goals, but for now just hopes to be permitted to be clever, analytical, and erratic forever.
